Cosmetic Nurse Practitioner, Penny, began in nursing career in 1993 after completing her Bachelor of Nursing at Victoria University in 1993.
Showing an early interest in paediatrics, Penny worked across a variety of specialities during her time in the clinical environment including, but not limited to, surgical, medical, oncology and palliative units. However, perhaps most notable was her role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist on the paediatric neurosurgical/neurology unit.
Although very fulfilling Penny’s passion for aesthetics was ever-present and as such she was searching for a way to combine this with her existing clinical skill set. The aesthetic medical environment therefore seemed like the perfect transition.
Penny joined anti-aging in 2011, where she gained invaluable experience as a specialised cosmetic injector. In 2017, Penny completed her master’s in nursing and was endorsed by AHPRA as a Cosmetic Nurse Practitioner, allowing her to assess, diagnose, prescribe and plan care, refer to specialists (when necessary) and treat patients with cosmetic concerns completely autonomously.
Penny has built an enthusiastic and loyal following of clients through her artistic eye and skilful injecting techniques. Her treatments are about enhancing client’s features and bringing out their beautiful assets so they can feel their best at any age. It brings her joy when she can address the connection between a client’s health, self-esteem and physical appearance to help them both look and feel better.
As a passionate advocate for the notion of forever learning Penny continues to upskill and attend conferences to ensure she follows the latest, best and safe practice guidelines.
